My camera isn't listed on the website, can you still re-leather it?
Yes! Any camera with a leatherette can be re-leathered. Send an email to david@studiojebi.com and we'll walk you through the process together.
How long does it take to releather a camera?
Most orders are completed within a week excluding shipping.
If a leather can't be sourced right away, we'll reach out so you can decide whether to wait or choose a different option.
Is installation included in the price?
Yes, the price includes installation services.
Unless you have the proper tools and experience, we recommend sending your camera in to ensure the best results.
Do I need to remove my old leather cover before sending in my camera?
Yes. The old leatherette must be fully removed and the camera body must be clean of any glue residue, oil, and dirt before a new cover can be installed.
Any leftover residue will compromise the adhesive on the new leatherette.
How do I remove the old leather cover from my camera?
Use tweezers and a thin spatula to peel the old leatherette away. Stubborn adhesive can be loosened with gentle heat or paint stripper.
There's no single method that works for every camera, just make sure the body is completely free of glue residue, oil, and dirt before the new cover goes on.
